Depth of field creates the blurred background that you will often see in pictures. Bokeh photography is the quality of this creamy blurred background. My favorite bokeh shots are not the day. It is the nighttime shots. Here is a picture of the lights of home neighborhood one block from our house. I thought it would be fun to frame the bokeh of a clumsy way fun. How did you re-create this effect? Easy . you just set the camera to Aperture smaller number of F-stop, you can zoom out and as far as you can. Plus your F-stop and zoom over your. the creamiest bokeh photography your will.
For this shot, we took out a simple umbrella and speedlight and used the 50mm f/1.8. The bokeh photography didn’t spread out as much as we’d like (house lights weren’t spread out enough). But nonetheless we got the effect we were looking for. This is where I wish we had a big zoom, these shots would’ve produced bigger better bokeh lights.
